Dr Sharon Mascall-Dare
Trainer
Dr Sharon Mascall-Dare is a corporate public affairs strategist specialising in Defence, ESG, and cross-cultural communication. Sharon, a former BBC and ABC broadcaster, has won many national and international awards for her investigative journalism work. In 2023, she was awarded a medal (OAM) in the Order of Australia for services to media as a journalist. A serving Military Public Affairs Officer in the Australian Army Reserve, Sharon has extensive instructional experience and has served on operations in Iraq. Her varied Defence industry experience includes work with Naval Group, BAE Systems, and Babcock Australasia; she is a Board Director of the Defence Teaming Centre and supports DTC’s Defence Industry Leadership Program (DILP) as a course mentor and workshop facilitator. In 2022, Sharon completed the Corporate Affairs Academy at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and was appointed to the Oxford-GlobeScan Global Corporate Affairs Council. In 2024, she became a graduate of the AICD's Company Directors Course.
